Home > Software Features > Case Management > Case File Case File When a case file is opened, the screen displayed below is shown. The case file is organized into an intuitive tab interface making it simple to navigate through the different elements of the case. Each tab contains different buttons and links relevant to the information contained within the tab.![]() On this case file tab, it is possible to set individual case level security which restricts which users in the office can access the case file or the entire case can be sealed preventing access office wide. Note that it is not common to secure a case at this level, as rules pertaining to case security are defined based on the type of case (Felony, Misdemeanor, etc.) and the attorney assigned to the case. This makes it possible to set office wide rules affecting the security of cases and preventing unauthorized access to sensitive case information. It is also possible to copy entire case files or elements within the case in order to save data entry time. Case flags can be defined and set on a case by case basis identifying certain conditions such as custody status or probation violations. See also |
