Introduction Letter Thank you for your interest in Justice Works and our criminal defense case management system, defenderData. I have included several items within this system overview for your Firm that will provide more detailed information about our company and software offering. I hope that the information that is included will provide you with a clear overview of the system and scope of the services that we offer.
Rather than imposing costly software and server purchases up front, Justice Works uses a pay as you go model where all of the server and technology infrastructure is managed and supported by our professionals. After the free trial period, we bill monthly based on the number of new cases added to your system each month. The case rate charged depends on which product level you have chosen to use. We are offering two different versions of defenderData for private attorneys; defenderData Basic at $2.00 per case, and defenderData Professional at $3.00 per case. The professional version includes all of the features of defenderData Basic with the added ability to store documents and files of any type within the case file. If your firm were to add 20 new cases in a month and were using the Professional version of defenderData, you would receive a bill for $60. Using the Basic version, the bill would be for our minimum charge of $50 as 20 cases at the $2 rate would fall below the minimum billing. The cost per case is a one-time charge. Once a case is in your system, there would be no further costs associated with that case. We believe that your cost to use this system is easily justified in the time that your attorneys and staff will save managing their caseload. Best regards, Stephen L. Richey, MBA |
