Tasks/Alerts

In addition to recording notes relevant to activities on the case, the note screen facilitates the quick creation of messages to other users in the office.  These messages are called "Alerts" within defenderData.  While these messages are similar in function to an email they are not intended to replace your email function.  However, defenderData Alerts can be sent via email for those users that prefer to be notified via email.



Notes can also be defined as a Task within the system making a user in the office responsible for performing some duty related to the case.  It's actually quite common for users to assign tasks to themselves just to make sure that they don't forget to follow up on something important.
